Sinopsis =
De zomer van 1969. Rick Dalton, een acteur op zijn retour, voelt aan dat zijn dagen als leading man in tv-westerns stilaan geteld zijn. Hij vindt troost bij zijn rechterhand en stuntman, Cliff Booth genaamd, die tevens zijn chauffeur en klusjesman is. Rick ziet met lede ogen aan hoe Hollywood een nieuw tijdperk ingaat, waarin het toeval wil dat Daltons huis zich vlak naast dat van de beroemde Poolse regisseur Roman Polanski en diens mooie vrouw Sharon Tate bevindt.
